"Free Country" was written and recorded during the pandemic and was financed by fans via crowdfunding. The gift of funding from fans made it possible for us to take the time to make the album we wanted to make and to express our gratitude, we are offering a download of the album to everyone for free for the rest of 2021.
We were given a gift, fans pledged their money to our Kickstarter campaign, they gave us the means to make this album. The pandemic showed up and it gave us the time to evaluate life, purpose, and our place in it. And then it gave us the time and the opportunity to write about observations and meaningful experiences and to record it in this collection of songs. So, we’re giving it back. All that we ask is that you share it with someone else. Let your friends know they can download it. Text them the link, send them an email, post about it on your Facebook page. We truly hope you connect with these 10 songs and hope you enjoy them.

It's great to see these songs starting to see the light of day. A big thanks to our friends at Twangville for premiering "Indiana".
It's the meanest song I've ever written, but it's not without its humor. Our new album "Free Country" comes out in its entirety on Aug 20th, but you can listed to "Indiana" via Twangville right HERE today. "Today Glide is excited to premiere the music video for “When The Hammer Falls.” Hitting with a vicious wave of feedback, the song drops into a surf rock boogie woogie groove with haunting vocals and a dark swagger. The band lays down a heavy beat and swings with rock and roll bravado as they convey a sense of raw aggression. For fans of alt-country, this is definitely a tried and true romp, but the band also takes risks and has a little more fun with a truly swinging sound."

We can't wait for you to hear this collection of 11 songs and thank you for your continued support!! We can't wait to see you on Patreon. -Ward, Josh, Greg & Cody We're very excited to be getting back to the stage on April 23rd at Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownfield, Maine.
This will be a socially distanced and limited capacity show, with just 50 tickets available. Show will be in the Main Hall, so if you've been to Stone Mountain before then you know how special this show is going to be. Tickets are available HERE. Making this more unique, this is also going to be an all-acoustic performance. Thanks to Cody's gift of hunting down instruments, he tracked down a gem of an upright bass, which Greg was able to acquire. The bass had fallen into disrepair, but it was truly a diamond in the rough. It's been getting restored by an expert luthier over the last few months and having now laid eyes on it last week, I can say it was worth the wait. Greg's upright bass will be making its debut at this show and we can't wait for you to see and hear it in action with the band. Really looking forward to seeing you up at SMAC on April 23rd. We can't think of a better way to kick off live shows this year. Gonna be a very special evening. |
