The experience of these pilot whales swimming towards him changed his life profoundly and impacted his entire perspective on life. If you've ever met my dad or follow him online, you probably know that most people refer to him Pilot Whale or PW, as has been his nickname for decades.  
I've adopted his admiration of the pilot whale and his view of this animal as good luck, so in my own way to honor him and the lessons he's shared, I've chosen the Pilot Whale to represent almost all of my ventures in life, music and into the wild world.
